Am Asking Ahn Jong-Chol and Gwangju to Please Play Fair and Invite Jee Man-Won

Doctor Ahn Jong-Chol issued a book on the truth of the May 18th titled “Were North Korean troops in Gwangju at the time of May 18th?”. I still have not read it, but wouldn‘t it have its own dignity as this book was written by a learned man who deserves to represent Gwangju? When Dr. Ahn was issuing this book, didn’t he write the manuscript after making every research on the nine books that I wrote on the history of the May 18th? If it is right, as Ahn Jong-Chol is a learned man who represents the May 18th organizations and as his book is a history book which refutes Jee Man-Won‘s book, so he must be a head of learned men who can represent the May 18th organizations as a matter of course. Should the head of the May 18th organizations bind Jee Man-Won hard and shoot the gun to him, how much would it be honorable to him?

Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol took part in the “May 18th Truth-Finding Hearing” presided by the National Assembly Defense Subcommittee on February 06, 2018, and initiated the opening statement in the name of man of statement with a lawyer Kim Jong-Ho. What was the most important in this bill was, what provisions are to be put into the “category of inquiry” in Article 3. The most controversial provision among the category of inquiry in Article 3 was the sixth item which requests to find out the truth on “the theory fabricating North Korean troops‘ intervention”. At the back of this fabrication theory were conceived Jee Man-Won and Ahn Jong-Chol in the womb. It’s because Jee Man-Won is regarded as a ringleader of the fabrication theory, and the competent man who are considered to be able to prove the fabrication of that theory is Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol who wrote the book “Were North Korean Troops in Gwangju at the time of May 18th?”.

As Things were like this, so the National Assembly Member Lee Jong-Myong made a proposal, -- “There is a learned man who made research on North Korean troops intervention for more than ten years, and it would be better to question closely on whether the contents are true or not, but it is not right to define the contents as a fabrication theory unconditionally and investigate it to that direction. Wouldn‘t it be a good way of securing general acceptability that we also make inquiry and investigation on whether North Korean troops intervened or not? Here I have pamphlets of ”History of May 18th To Be Rewritten“ written by Dr. Jee Man-Won. Can I distribute them? Lee Jong-Myong got committee chairman’s approval and distributed them. Then Lee Jong-Myong asked them all one by one, -- all the National Assembly Members who initiated the bill, Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol and lawyer Kim Jong-Ho. He did it in front of the large audience who filled the whole of the conference hall. All of them had to accept it as it had virtually justified cause. The participants all agreed unanimously that ”Let‘s make the most of this opportunity to investigate to the full to secure general acceptability“. After undergoing this procedure, the provision of ”whether North Korean Troops intervened or not and whether North Korean troops’ intervention was fabricated or not“ was adopted as an inquiry item to be put into Article 3 Clause 6.

After this bill was enacted on February 28, 2018. Defense Ministry made out presidential enforcement ordinance, and it regulates to set up 1st, 2nd and 3rd Department in the truth finding committee, and it also regulates that the 3rd Department would be wholly responsible for the Article 3 Clause 6. If to follow principle, logic and common sense, Jee Man-Won and Ahn Jong-Chol should enter the 3rd Department, and attack their opponent‘s book by his own book. That would open a beautiful stage in which they can fight a fair and square academic dual in gentlemanly manner with facts and logic.

Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol was already internally designated by National Assembly Chairman as chairman of the nine member committee. But the so-called progressive men and journalists based on the main axis of May 18th organizations come out shouting for a censure like, “Jee Man-Won is not acceptable. He is a non-sensical man who is insisting that North Korean troops intervened in the sacred pro-democracy movement”. This is not right for a gentleman, no logic and does not fit in with common sense.

Jee Man-Won graduated Military Academy, and he is a very faithful and smart man to have made new history in everywhere he served from the time he was commissioned a second lieutenant. Who else other than Jee Man-Won is the legendary figure who was chosen as the only first grade single man out of the entire South Korean Armed Forces to be sent to study abroad in the Postgraduate School of US Naval Academy, and obtained Doctor‘s degree in Applied Mathematics after having obtained Master’s degree in liberal arts? Who else other than me is genius-type applied mathematician who created two mathematical formulas and six mathematical theorems that never existed in the world? As far as I know, there is no figure like that. I blew fresh winds everywhere I served, and took lead in doing the revolution in defense material management. I was recognized as a man who came out to this society as a Venus (the morning star) in 1990s and raised the price of papers in the Capital city (get high reputation all of a sudden). Kim Dae-Joong sent for me three times asking me to take the post of Minister. I guarantee that no one could ever imitate the process that I underwent when I attained the state of self-denial and absolute absorption struggling to achieve academic research, and fought against stomachache pinning more than 30 pins and needles on my belly. If there are someone who disparage such great man as a weirdo, he will have to explain what kind of self-denial he went through and in what state of absolute absorption he attained.

In this world where everyone is busy making livelifood and chasing money, who else other than me was and will be there in South Korea who brought in two truck loads of 180 thousand pages of investigation and trial documents which were safekept in a warehouse of a lawyer who defended Jon Doo-Hwan, with daring determination to make research on the whole of them for next ten years or even twenty years. If you say to a gentleman, who spent 18 years of his old ages to find the truth of May 18th only with a firm determination that he would save the country and set to rights its history, that “because you said that North Korean troops intervened in the May 18th, so you are not allowed to come in the 3rd Department where Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol is welcome to come in”, is it logical or does it fit in with common sense? I‘d like to ask Gwangju citizen whether it is so shameful contempt on them and cruel unreasonableness or not. The 3rd Department that is to set up in Defense Ministry is a dual fighting place in a corral. Could there be a so unreasonable game in the world that they set up a dual fighting place, and give a gun to one fighter but deprive the other fighter from having a gun?

Upon entering the dual place, Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol will fire one shot at Jee Man-Won point blank. I would like to ask Gwangju citizen if only winning like this is a real winning. Is the contention that North Korean troops intervened in Gwangju raising the honor of Gwangju or lowering it? The Supreme Court decision has the record that Gwangju citizen attacked Gwangju prison as much as five times. Were those who took lead attacking Gwangju prison five times Gwangju citizen? If so, it would be a shameful disgrace of Gwangju. Has the Supreme Court raised the honor of Gwangju or lowered? But Jee Man-Won made research conclusion that the prison attack was led by North Korean troops. Then, has Jee Man-Won raised the honor of Gwangju or lowered it? Hasn‘t he raised it, has he? But why did the May 18th organizations do mob violence to me over four times, and are so cruel to me by filing a lot of actions to shower me?

After making investigation on the Daily Report on Circumstances, I found out that among the 154 Gwangju citizen who were killed at the scene, more than 80 percent of them were killed in the place where the Martial Law troops were not there. Among the 116 dead who were killed by gun shots, 85 were killed by Carbine rifles which were taken from the regional weapon storages by citizen troops. What does it mean that Gwangju citizen killed another Gwangju citizen in group, and more than 80% were killed in the places where Martial Law troops were not there? Does it raise the honor of Gwangju citizen or lower it that Gwangju citizen killed another Gwangju citizen in the place where Martial Law troops were not there, and Gwangju citizen shot to kill 75 percent of all the Gwangju citizen that were killed? Jee Man-Won made research to find that those who led the killing spree were not Gwangju citizen but North Korean troops. Then, has Jee Man-Won raised the honor of Gwangju or lowered it?

I have been suffering so much of indescribable agony from the May 18th organizations and judges of Gwangju Court since the so-called golden age of 60s up to now of 78 years old. Those who commit outrages on me would not be the men who really do good for Gwangju. I think it is unilateral tyranny done by the interests groups composed of so-called “sucking straw tribes”.

I‘d like to appeal to Gwangju citizen’s last sense of justice and conscience. I would also like to appeal to Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol. I would like that Gwangju citizen who have conscience and sense of justice and Dr. Ahn Jong-Chol hold a press conference to keep their fair pride, honor and self-respect. -- “We would like to invite Jee Man-Won to the dual place set up in the 3rd Department in the May 18th Truth-Finding Committee”. -- I want them to invite me like it with courtesy. Isn’t general acceptability what the outcome of the game is all about, whether win or lose?
