                          Overture on the May 18th Gwangju Riot

My patriotic associates and I have finally unveiled the truth of the May 18th Gwangju Riot over the last 15 years.  This was possible thanks to our unwavering efforts of blood and tears. We can now reveal and report to our fellow countrymen and the international community that the North Korean communist regime had, without a declaration of war, invaded a southern city of Gwangju, secretly infiltrating 600 trained to kill commandos and another 600 maneuvering agents for ten days between May 18 and 27, 1980.

First, we have concentrated every possible effort in securing photos photographed on the scene of the May 18th Gwangju Riot that erupted in 1980 and that shocked every patriotic citizen in the South.

To identify those faces shown in the photos, a state of the art imagery analysis system and equipment were mobilized. It was a task for our skilled imagery analyzers to sort out whose faces, among those well known figures through the internet, matched those of the NK commando leaders who participated in the May 18th Gwangju Riot. As a result, from those faces shown in the photos taken on the spot of the Riot, no less than 478 faces were identified as either NK commandos or maneuvering agents secretly dispatched from the North. What is more, most of these figures were promoted to general officers and elite core members of the NK cabinet later. I must say that this is a miracle.

In addition, I have proved that the ROK’s judicature erred with respect to the six critical facts in connection with the May 18th Gwangju Riot during the course of the trial held in 1997, which eventually played a key role in transforming the Riot into a Democratic Movement. This is also being assessed as a remarkable historical miracle by a circle in the Korean society that is nothing to sneeze at.

May 18th organizations including Major of the Gwangju city, who have persistently regarded the May 18th Gwangju Riot as a so-called sanctuary of their democratic movement history, hosted an exhibition displaying the photos we revealed at busy streets in the Gwangju city for more than 180 days beginning on October, 2015. The purpose of the exhibition was to eagerly look for those who were shown in the photos. Nevertheless, none of the Gwangju citizens have so far appeared saying “I am one of the leaders who had led the Riot in 1980.”  This simply proves that there was no single Gwangju citizen who had led the Riot in May 1980.

The event of the century, that North Korea had invaded to overthrow the South Korean government without a declaration of war by infiltrating more than 1,200 commandos plus maneuvering agents in May, 1980, shall have to be brought to international justice on the charge of violating the Armistice Agreement signed in 1953 by the United Nations including international community.

The Korean peninsula was liberated on August 15, 1945, thanks to the sublime sacrifice of the United States. Unfortunately, however, it has been divided into two parts, South and North, since the peninsula was freed from Japanese colonial rule. Afterwards, Korean history has been a series of endless North Korean military provocations and counteractions by the South. North Korea’s provocations have not been limited to nuclear weapons and missiles but also included the beefing up of their sympathizers and followers in the South, to have them interrupt and destroy ROK’s development and security.

Needless to mention, it is a must for South Korea to deploy the top-notch U.S. air defense system of THHAD in her territory for self-preservation. For this reason, it is a matter of course that we Koreans should have welcomed the decision of the THHAD deployment with open arms if we love our country. Strangely, however, there are a lot of ugly politicians and people who desperately opposed to the planned THHAD deployment.

They are aggressively protesting against government’s defense policy day after day, showing unsightly scenes in an attempt to lead to the split of public sentiments. At the center of this opposing strength, North Korea’s manipulation and their followers who carry out NK’s maneuvering are always standing behind. During the tenure of former presidents, Rhee Syng-man, Park Jung-hee and Chun Doo-hwan, the administrations had prioritized policies to eliminate internal opponents. Sadly, for many years thereafter, the internal opponents have surfaced and blamelessly beefed up their strength without any interruptions. Therefore, people in the patriotism camp share common ground on the fact that the influential opponent’s strength had dominated social infra-structures, political circles and the judicature even including the presidential office.  

The number of the NK sympathizers and followers was sharply increased during the tenure of the leftist presidents Kim Dae-jung and Noh Moo-hyun in South Korea, but it virtually started taking deep root from the time that politicians with no sense of history had recklessly depicted the nature of the May 18th Gwangju Riot as a so-called democratic movement for their political interest, and provided the rioters with unprecedented large amounts of compensation and side benefits plus undeserved honor.

The anti-government rioters who had stormed armories and seized a great deal of weapons shooting at the martial law troops were absurdly turned into heroes of a so-called democratic movement by the reckless politicians. That is why such violations and vandalism as similar to that occurred in Gwangju city in May, 1980 are still widespread in the capital city of Seoul under the good excuse of democratization.

The May 18th Gwangju Riot that occurred 36 years ago has been publicized as a democratization movement led by Kim Dae-jung at home and abroad. Ridiculously, such an illogical social atmosphere had even enabled the conspirator, Kim Dae-jung to win the Nobel Peace Prize, enjoying the highest reputation as a great figure. Nevertheless, despite continued repressions on me, with the enthusiastic support and donations of our countless patriots, I have finally proved an earth-shattering fact, that the May 18th Gwangju Riot was a rebellion led by North Korean dictator, Kim Il-sung in league with Kim Dae-jung in the South, secretly dispatching 600 special commandos plus another 600 maneuvering agents to drive a wedge between the ROK government and innocent citizens of Gwangju city in 1980.

It was verified that there had been 166 civilian casualties in total during the May 18th Gwangju Riot. More than 70% out of these victims were brutally murdered by the NK special commandos in the areas where no ROK martial law troops were stationed. Nonetheless, the communists had brazenly blamed their barbaric atrocities on the martial law troops, which has resulted in an established historical theory by the communists who had dominated the South. This is what we mean by a distortion of history. The history distortion!  You fellow countrymen may immediately find an astonishing fact that our young students are being taught with the history book written by the communists, and that even the Prime Minister is therefore struggling along and taking the initiative to correct the distorted history. The May 18th Gwangju Riot represents the most destructive part in the South Korea’s modern history. The communists who took key positions have maintained the forcibly regulated existence of the May 18th Gwangju Riot as their impregnable sanctuary by committing violence and lynching those who have challenged their behaviors. They did not even hesitate to put the challengers behind the bars.

I have torn down the impregnable fortress of the May 18th Gwangju Riot, putting up with all sorts of hardship that can be only possible in the primitive communist states. My research result shall have to perform a decisive role in punishing North Korea’s unpardonable criminal acts for their secret invasion of the South without a declaration of war in May, 1980. To do so, I dare to sincerely hope that you the peace-loving people at home and abroad will aggressively support my efforts, so that all of us shall be able to recognize the triumph of justice.

                                   5.18 오버춰(overture) 

 

저와 제 친구들은 15년에 걸쳐 피와 눈물로 5.18의 진실을 밝혀냈습니다. 1980년 5월 18일부터 10일 동안 북한 특수군 600명과 또 다른 전문 공작단 600며명이 선전포고 없이 침략했던 사실을 대한민국과 국제사회에 보고하기 위해 밝혀낸 진실입니다. 우리는 가장 먼저 1980년 광주에서 촬영된 사진들을 발굴해냈습니다, 이 사진들 자체가 대한민국 사회에는 일대 충격이었습니다.  

사진 속 얼굴들을 영상분석 특수프로그램과 영상분석에 숙달된 눈매들로 분석했습니다. 최근 인테넷에 얼굴을 남긴 유명한 북한 인물들 중 과연 누가 이들 광주의 주역들과 닮았는지를 그야말로 숙달된 전문가들이 찾아내는 작업을 한 것입니다. 그 결과 1980년 광주현장 사진 인물들 중, 무려 478명이 북한의 얼굴들이라는 사실을 밝혀냈습니다. 북한에서 출세한 장군들과 내각책임자들을 포함해 북한의 기라성 같은 인물들이 대거 포함돼 있다는 사실이 증명되었습니다. 이는 제가 생각해도 기적입니다.  

이와 더불어 저는 1997년 한국 법원이 5.18광주 폭동역사를 민주화역사로 탈바꿈시켰던 판결내용이 6개의 중요한 사실에 대해 사실오인이라는 결정적인 잘못을 저질렀다는 사실도 증명했습니다. 한국사회의 무시할 수 없는 일각에서 이 역시 기적인 것으로 평가되고 있습니다.  

5.18역사를 민주화역사인 것으로 성역화해온 광주시장을 포함한 5.18유공자 단체들이 2015년 10월부터 6개월 동안 제 참모들이 발견한 이 사진들을 광주의 번화한 장소들에 전시하고 사진 속 주역들을 애타게 찾았지만 사실상 지금까지 나타난 인물이 없습니다. 광주에는 폭동을 주도한 인물이 없다는 것이 증명된 것입니다.  

북한이 1980년 5월 1,200명 이상을 광주로 침투시켜 대한민국을 전복시키려 했던 이 사실은 반드시 유엔을 비롯한 국제사회가 나서서 응징해야만 하는 세기적인 침략사건입니다.  

대한민국은 1945년 8월 15일 미국이 흘린 피의 덕분으로 해방이 되었지만, 불행하게도 남북으로 분단되었습니다. 그 후의 한국역사는 북한의 끝없는 군사적 도발 및 정치공작과 그에 대한 남한의 반작용으로 점철되었습니다. 북한의 도발은 비단 핵무기와 유도탄을 비롯한 군사적 측면에서만 이루어지는 것이 아니라 대한민국 안에 북한을 추종하는 세력을 길러 그들로 하여금 대한민국의 안보와 발전을 사사건건 방해하게 만들고, 파괴하게 만드는 보이지 않는 공작적 측면도 그만큼 강합니다.  

미군이 보유한 ‘사드’를 한국 땅에 배치하는 것은 대한민국의 자위를 위해 반드시 필요합니다. 대한민국을 사랑하는 국민이라면 모두가 쌍수로 환영하고 그 자산을 운영하는 미국에 대해 머리 숙여 고마움을 표시해야 마땅한 일입니다. 하지만 매우 기이하게도 이 땅에는 사드 배치를 결사적으로 방해하는 정치인들과 국민들이 있습니다. 이들이 세력 단위로 들고 일어나 국론을 분열시키는 실로 볼썽사나운 모습들을 연일 보이고 있습니다. 이 모든 세력의 중심에는 북한의 공작이 있고, 북한의 공작을 수행하는 북한추종세력이 있습니다.  

고 이승만 대통령, 고 박정희 대통령, 전두환 전 대통령이 집권했을 당시에는 정부가 이런 내부의 적을 물리치는 일을 최우선 과제로 수행했었습니다. 그런데 그 후부터는 이 내부의 적이 거의 아무런 제재를 받지 않고 지상에서 떳떳하게 세력을 키워왔습니다. 그 세력이 오늘날 사회의 주요 인프라를 장악했고, 정치권과 사법부를 장악했고, 심지어는 청와대에 까지 대거 침투해 있다는 것이 대한민국을 지극히 사랑하는 애국진영 국민들의 공통된 생각입니다.  

대한민국에 북한 추종세력이 기하급수적으로 확산된 것은 공산주의자인 김대중 및 노무현이 대통령으로 재직하면서부터 이었습니다. 하지만 그 뿌리는 1980년 5월 18일부터 10일 동안 광주에서 발생한 무장폭동을, 역사의식이 없는 정치꾼들이 정치적 이해타산에 의해, 민주화운동이라고 그 성격을 규정하고 그 관련자들에 엄청난 명예와 유사 이래 유례가 없는 파격적인 금전적 보상 그리고 공짜복지를 제공하는 데 있습니다.  

무기고를 털어 정부군에 총질을 하고 국가기관의 상징인 전남도청을 점거하고, 방송국들은 물론 광주시 전역을 파괴했던 반국가 폭동을 감히 ‘민주화운동’으로 규정했기 때문에 오늘날 서울에는 1980년의 광주폭동을 빼닮은 폭력행위들과 질서파괴행위들이 “민주화”의 이름으로 난립하고 있는 것입니다.  

36년 전에 발생했던 5.18광주폭동은 지금까지 국내에는 물론 전 세계적으로 김대중이 주도한 민주화운동인 것으로 알려져 있고, 김대중은 노벨평화상까지 받은 거목으로 인정돼 있습니다. 그러나 저는 재능이 있는 소수의 애국자들, 성금을 내는 다수의 애국자들과 함께 온갖 박해와 폭력과 린치를 당하면서 “5.18은 김일성과 김대중이 야합하여 북한 특수군 병단 600명과 또 다른 정치공작단 600여명이 집단으로 내려와 파괴와 정치공작을 병행하여 전라도 국민과 정부를 이간질함으로써 전국적인 폭동을 유발하려 했다”는 사실을 증명하였습니다.  

광주에서 발생한 166명의 민간인 사망자의 70% 이상을 북한특수군이 한국 계엄군이 없는 장소들에서 잔인한 모습으로 사살해놓고 그것을 한국군의 소행이라고 뒤집어 씌웠고, 그것이 한국을 장악한 공산주의자들에 의해 역사의 정설인 것으로 각인되게 하였던 것입니다. 이른바 역사왜곡인 것입니다. 역사왜곡! 여러분들께서는 이 나라 초중고 학생들이 배우는 역사책이 공산주의자들에 의해 쓰였다는 사실, 그래서 지금 한국에서는 국무총리가 앞장서서 이를 교정하는 전쟁을 힘겹게 치르고 있다는 사실을 금방 확인하실 수 있을 것입니다. 5.18은 해방 이후의 한국 현대사 중에서 가장 파괴력이 큰 역사왜곡 항목입니다. 대한민국의 요부들을 장악한 공산주의자들은 이렇게 강제로 규정한 5.18역사의 성격을 철옹성처럼 성역화하고 그에 도전하는 국민에게 공개적으로 폭력과 린치를 가하고 감옥에 넣는 일을 자행해 왔습니다.  

저는 원시적 공산국가에서나 존재할 수 있었던 이런 고통을 감수하면서 5.18의 성역을 허물었습니다. 저의 발견 내용은 오늘날 세계의 평화와 질서를 교란시키고 있는 북한이 1980년 5월에 선전포고 없이 대한민국을 몰래 침략했다는 기막힌 범죄행위를 응징하는데 결정적인 역할을 수행해야만 합니다. 이를 위해 세계 평화를 사랑하는 여러분들께서 적극적인 기여를 해주실 것을 간절히 소망합니다.
